HISTORY

These microphones were used on many classic recordings produced at Matassa’s studios and are associated with some of the most iconic artists of the early rock & roll and R&B era, including Little Richard, Fats Domino, and Ray Charles. They are part of the sound that helped define what became known as the legendary “New Orleans Sound” of R&B and early rock and roll.
