This 2014 Taylor 916ce is a high-end, all-solid-wood acoustic-electric guitar. It features a large Grand Symphony body shape, designed to produce a rich, full sound with a robust low end and substantial volume. The guitar is known for its stunning aesthetics, including elaborate "Cindy" inlays and extensive abalone and rosewood trim, making it a visually luxurious instrument. The Taylor 900 Series has been a part of the company's lineup since the late 1970s, serving as its most luxurious standard series until the mid-1990s. These models have always featured top-grade woods (typically Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce) and ornate inlays, often named after Bob Taylor's wife, "Cindy". This specific 2014 model represents the final iteration before a major redesign in 2015, which introduced significant changes like V-Class bracing and an armrest bevel. The 2014 model uses traditional CV bracing and features the original Expression System 2 electronics.
