The Custom 24 is the original model Paul Reed Smith took to his first NAMM show in 1985. It is defined by its 25-inch scale length, 24 frets, and distinctive mahogany/maple wood combination. This specific model was produced only in 2015 to celebrate three decades of the brand. It is not a vintage reissue but a modern evolution that introduced the highly acclaimed 85/15 pickups, which were personally designed by Paul Reed Smith to offer greater clarity and extended range for modern players. These anniversary models feature a unique "Birds in Flight" inlay pattern on the fretboard and a commemorative "30th Anniversary" truss rod cover.
