Comments:
This Martin 00C-16DB was a limited-edition acoustic guitar produced as part of the company's "Women and Music" (W.A.M.) project. It was an unconventional model, combining a smaller Grand Concert (00) body size with the deeper body depth of a Dreadnought. The project involved female artists, including Sheryl Crow and Joni Mitchell, who provided input on the guitar's design. The goal was to create comfortable instruments for players with smaller hands while still delivering a powerful sound, while a portion of the proceeds from the project was donated to breast cancer research. Only 99 of the 00C-16DB guitars were produced in 1999, making it a rare and collectible instrument. The overall production run was between 1998 and 2000.
