Comments:
This Martin 000-28EC was manufactured in the Nazareth, Pennsylvania factory in 1996. This model is the renowned Eric Clapton signature guitar, based on the modified 1966 000-28 he used during his iconic "MTV Unplugged" performance in 1992. The production of the 000-28EC began in 1995 and quickly became one of Martin's most popular and long-running signature models. It features an Auditorium (000-14 Fret) body size, known for its comfort and balanced tone that is versatile for both fingerstyle and light strumming. The guitar pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, a classic tonewood combination that produces a rich, well-balanced sound. The design is accented by vintage-inspired features, including fine herringbone top trim, a V-profile neck, and an ebony fingerboard with "diamonds and squares long pattern" inlays and Clapton's signature at the 20th fret.
