Comments
A particularly appealing compact jumbo from Gibson's renowned Bozeman acoustic division, the J-165 EC combines a solid Sitka Spruce top with Flamed Maple back and sides to produce the full, powerful voice associated with Gibson's larger-bodied acoustics in a considerably more manageable format. The mahogany neck and 24.75" scale length provide a comfortable playing feel, while the Venetian cutaway offers excellent access to the upper register. This 2012 example is fitted with Gibson's Fishman Aura Pro electronics, making it equally well suited to live performance, and is supplied with its original Gibson hard-shell case.
