This 1974 Hummingbird is an iconic square-shouldered dreadnought acoustic guitar stemming from Gibson's highly discussed "Norlin Era". The "Custom" designation during this specific window of the 1970s was part of Gibson's standard nomenclature for the model family, rather than a one-off custom shop build. While early 1960s Hummingbirds are famous for their "Cherry Sunburst" finish, the Natural option gained significant traction in the 1970s, showcasing the tight grain of the spruce tops.
