Comments:
The Gibson Explorer was first introduced in 1958 as part of the "Modernistic" series alongside the Flying V. While initially unsuccessful and discontinued by 1963, it was reissued in the mid-1970s and became a definitive icon for rock and heavy metal guitarists due to its radical, futuristic body shape and aggressive tone. Based on 2017 configurations, this guitar is part of the “T” run (Traditional), which adhered to classic specifications like Grover tuners and a traditional neck heel.
