Comments:
Fender Japan's vintage reissue lines from the 1980s and 90s are highly regarded for their precision craftsmanship and consistent quality, often considered excellent examples of the Telecaster design. This guitar was built by the Fujigen plant, which was Fender's exclusive Japanese manufacturer until 1997. The "TL72-500" was part of a brief naming system change in 1990-1991. It was the direct successor to the earlier "TL72-55" model and shared nearly identical specifications. The guitar features the characteristic large '70s-style headstock with the "Fender" logo, a 3-saddle bridge, and a four-bolt neck plate. The original pickups were custom-designed for the Japanese domestic market and are often described as having a bright, crisp sound.
