This 2016 Fender American Elite Stratocaster was the flagship US-made production model at the time of its release. Known for its modern playability and features, it was replaced in 2019 by the American Ultra series. It features the fourth generation of Fender's Noiseless single-coil pickups, designed to provide vintage Strat tone without the 60-cycle hum, and an S-1 switching system on the volume knob to provide multiple wiring options and expand the guitar's tonal versatility. The neck heel has a carved and rounded shape to provide a more comfortable feel and improved access to the upper frets.
