The production of these "Made in Japan" models in the late 2000s and early 2010s marked a return to the "Made in Japan" identifier after a period of using "Crafted in Japan" labels. These basses were designed with a strong emphasis on vintage specifications, including the slimmer neck profile, 7.25-inch radius fingerboard, and traditional hardware, providing an authentic playing experience. The 1962 style is known for its concentric knob setup (Volume, Volume, Tone) and classic sunburst finish, delivering both visual appeal and a versatile passive tone.
