This japanese-made Fender Jaguar is a 1966 reissue, manufactured during the "Crafted in Japan" (CIJ) Fender era, which ran from 1997 to 2007, following the earlier "Made in Japan" period. Guitars from this period are highly regarded for their exceptional build quality, meticulous attention to vintage details (such as the 7.25" fingerboard radius and 24" scale length), and consistency, often considered on par with or superior to certain American-made models of the era. This "JG66-85" model aimed to faithfully replicate the specs of a mid-60s Jaguar, including the body wood and intricate electronics.
