Comments:
This Fender American Professional Classic Mustang Bass is part of a series launched in 2025 that serves as the entry point for Fender’s prestigious USA-made lineup, specifically designed to bridge the gap between vintage 1970s aesthetics and modern high-performance playability. This specific model in 3-Tone Sunburst draws heavily from 1970s Mustang Bass design, most notably featuring period-correct "Lollipop" tuners, which were originally only used by Fender for a brief window between 1965 and 1968 on other bass models. It maintains the classic 30-inch short scale length. This shorter scale results in lower string tension and narrower fret spacing, making it a popular choice for guitarists transitioning to bass or players who prefer a more compact instrument. While it looks vintage, it includes modern upgrades like a satin-finished neck for faster playability and the Greasebucket Tone System, which allows you to roll off high frequencies without adding unwanted bass "mud”.
