Comments:
The original Epiphone Zephyr Regent was introduced in 1950 and was Epiphone's most popular electric cutaway guitar, competing with the Gibson ES-350. It was a professional-grade 17" archtop that featured an innovative deeper Florentine cutaway for better upper fret access. This modern reissue was manufactured from 1999 to 2008 as a full-depth hollow-body guitar. While the reissues don't use the original single-coil "New York" pickups, they are still highly regarded as quality, affordable jazz boxes that capture the vintage aesthetic. This guitar was built at the reputable Peerless factory in Korea, known for producing high-quality instruments. This reissue is a notable model in the Epiphone lineup, often praised by jazz and blues players for its build quality and resonant, warm tone.
