Comments:
The Jazz Splitsound (initially the "Burns Jazz Split Sound") was introduced in the early 1960s. After Baldwin purchased Burns in September 1965, the model was rebranded as a Baldwin. The guitar is famous for its unique 4-way rotary selector, which includes a "Wild Dog" setting—a thin, out-of-phase sound popular in 60s surf and psych music. Early versions of the model featured a distinct "scroll" headstock design, though this was flattened and modified around 1966–1967 as part of the Baldwin transition.
