HISTORY

Robert Fripp is one of the most influential and uncompromising guitarists in modern music. As founder, guitarist and principal creative force behind King Crimson, Fripp helped redefine what the electric guitar could do within progressive and experimental rock. His playing combines precision, unusual rhythmic structures, crosspicking, sustained textures and a highly individual approach to harmony and composition. His work has influenced generations of musicians, from progressive and experimental artists to players including Dave Matthews and Steven Wilson.

A hand-built J Davey instrument from respected British guitar builder Jamie Davey, whose Wolverhampton workshop has produced bespoke instruments since the early 1990s. Davey specialises in custom guitars inspired by classic Fender designs and has built instruments for artists including Status Quo, Slade, The Charlatans and Robert Fripp himself.
