Robert Fripp is one of the most influential and uncompromising guitarists in modern music. As founder, guitarist and principal creative force behind King Crimson, Fripp helped redefine what the electric guitar could do within progressive and experimental rock. His playing combines precision, unusual rhythmic structures, crosspicking, sustained textures and a highly individual approach to harmony and composition. His work has influenced generations of musicians, from progressive and experimental artists to players including Dave Matthews and Steven Wilson.

A highly individual J Davey custom build combining Jaguar styling with a particularly versatile pickup configuration. The P90 at the neck provides a powerful, articulate voice while the stacked humbucker in the Telecaster-style bridge position gives the instrument a very different character. J Davey's bespoke approach and long association with professional musicians make this a fascinating instrument for collectors of British custom guitars.
