Comments:
The Ibanez Artist AR100 was introduced in 1979 as a high-quality, double-cutaway alternative to the Gibson Les Paul. It is part of the "Golden Era" of Japanese guitar manufacturing, known for exceptional craftsmanship that often rivalled American-made counterparts of the same period. The original Japanese-made AR100 series ran from 1979 to 1984. This 1981 model sits in a prime year for the series, just before certain hardware and pickup changes were implemented in 1982 and 1983. For example, this guitar features the highly-regarded Ibanez V2 humbuckers with cream bobbins, which were replaced by Super 58s in 1982.
