Harrison famously purchased his original second-hand 1957 Duo Jet from a sailor in Liverpool for £75 and referred to it as his first \"real decent guitar\". It was used extensively at the Cavern Club and for the recording of the band’s debut album, Please Please Me. Harrison later used it for his 1987 solo album Cloud Nine, appearing with it on the cover. Following a highly limited \"Tribute\" run of 60 master-built relics in early 2011, Gretsch released this Japanese-made Signature edition as a standard production model in July 2011.
