This model uses a mahogany top as opposed to the traditional maple top, mirroring the construction of 1950s Les Paul Customs (like the "Black Beauty”), giving it a more midrange-focused tone compared to maple-top versions, which are typically brighter and snappier. The TV Yellow finish is a highly popular colour when associated to Les Paul Specials or Standards, originally introduced in the 1950s and frequently favoured by players since. The "Demo" engraving on the back of the headstock indicates this guitar was destined for artist demonstration / promotional purposes.
