Following the resolution of the dispute, Gibson used returned rosewood in a limited series of instruments, turning an unusual chapter in the company's history into part of the guitars themselves.
The Government Series II Explorer was limited to approximately 300 examples, making it considerably less common than a standard production Explorer. The Government Tan finish, black hardware, distinctive eagle artwork and Dirty Fingers+ pickups give the model a particularly individual appearance and specification.

COMMENTS

A particularly interesting modern Gibson with a genuine story behind it.
