Comments:
The late 1970s was a period of significant design shifts for Fender under CBS ownership. Hardtail Strats from this era are noted by players for having increased tuning stability and a slightly different resonance compared to the more common tremolo models. The guitar also features the distinct "Large Headstock," a 3-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt adjustment, and the "Bullet" truss rod nut at the headstock—all hallmarks of 1970s Fender production. The Mocha Brown finish (often referred to by collectors as "Walnut") was a signature colour of this era, typically paired with a black pickguard.
