Comments:
The Fender Ritchie Blackmore Signature Stratocaster is a tribute to the legendary guitarist's favourite 1970s model, which he used extensively with Deep Purple and Rainbow. Blackmore, a pioneer in neo-classical heavy rock, is known for iconic riffs like "Smoke on the Water" and a distinctive playing style that blended blues, classical, and hard rock influences. The signature model captures several of his unique modifications, like the graduated scalloped fingerboard: the unique scalloping of the rosewood fingerboard gets deeper toward the higher frets and the treble E string. This modification allows for extremely fast playing, enhanced vibrato control, and a very light touch, as your fingers only need to touch the string to sound a note. The guitar also features two high-output Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Flat SSL-4 single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions. The middle pickup is a non-active "dummy" unit, a deliberate choice by Blackmore to replicate his own guitar's setup and possibly reduce noise interference. The guitar features the large '70s-style headstock, "F" stamped tuning machines, and a 3-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt adjustment, all authentic to the era of Blackmore's primary instrument.
