HISTORY

1969 was a defining year in rock music history with the formation of Blind Faith, the supergroup created from the members of Cream and Traffic. Featuring Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker and Ric Grech, the band made their first public appearance at the legendary Hyde Park Concert in London in front of an estimated 120,000 people.

For this historic performance, Clapton played a unique modified 1969 Fender Telecaster fitted with the neck from his famous 1956 Stratocaster "Brownie". The combination of Telecaster body design and Stratocaster neck created an instrument with a distinctive feel and character, reflecting Clapton's ongoing search for the perfect playing experience. This guitar has since become one of the most fascinating instruments associated with Clapton's career and a significant piece of electric guitar history.

A painstaking recreation of Eric Clapton's unique Blind Faith-era Telecaster, built by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Todd Krause with exceptional attention to historical accuracy. The lightweight Alder body features a Faded 3-Colour Sunburst Journeyman nitrocellulose finish, offering the appearance and feel of a beautifully cared-for vintage instrument while allowing the natural resonance of the guitar to shine.

The defining feature of this model is the one-piece Maple Stratocaster neck, faithfully recreating the modified neck Clapton installed from his famous "Brownie" Stratocaster. Featuring a comfortable vintage-style V profile, 7.25" radius, 21 vintage frets and 25.5" scale length, it provides the authentic feel and playability associated with one of Clapton's most recognisable instruments.

Equipped with hand-wound 1963 Telecaster-style single coil pickups, this Masterbuilt recreation delivers the unmistakable clarity, attack and versatility expected from a great Telecaster. Supplied with a custom deluxe case, custom strap, commemorative neck plate and signed Certificate of Authenticity, this is a highly desirable collector-grade Fender Custom Shop instrument celebrating one of the most fascinating chapters in Eric Clapton's career.
