Albert Collins
HISTORY
Albert Collins, known throughout the guitar world as "The Iceman" and "The Master of the Telecaster", was one of the most distinctive and influential blues guitarists of his generation. Famous for his sharp attack, icy tone, unusual open F minor tuning and powerful stage presence, Collins created a sound that was instantly recognisable and impossible to replicate.
His use of the Fender Telecaster helped establish the instrument as one of the definitive voices of electric blues, influencing generations of players including Gary Moore, Robert Cray, Stevie Ray Vaughan and countless others. Collins proved that the Telecaster was capable of far more than traditional country sounds, demonstrating its incredible versatility as a powerful blues instrument.
