The BMG Special is the result of Brian May’s vision to create an accessible, professional-quality guitar inspired by his legendary Red Special. Developed by Brian May Guitars in partnership with Brian and his long-standing technician Pete Malandrone, the model has evolved through successive refinements to its construction, electronics, hardware and finish.

Presented in distinctive Emerald Green, this example brings a fresh and individual look to Brian May’s celebrated guitar design. Beneath the finish lies a carefully engineered instrument featuring a chambered Indonesian mahogany body, set-in mahogany neck and Coromandel ebony fingerboard. Three Tri-Sonic-style pickups, combined with the original BM switching matrix, deliver exceptional tonal versatility, including individual pickup selection and phase switching.
