Sales Advisor (4 Days per Week)

Hanks Guitar Shop is looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our team on a 4-day-per-week basis, with the potential for the role to develop into a full-time position in the future.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong retail background who has a passion for music, guitars, customer service, visual merchandising, and social media content creation.

About the Role

As a Sales Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience while helping to maintain the high standards and reputation of Hanks Guitar Shop. You will be involved in all aspects of the business, from sales and merchandising to website updates and social media promotion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing exceptional customer service both in-store and over the telephone.
  • Building product knowledge to advise customers on guitars, amplifiers, accessories, and related products.
  • Driving sales and achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Creating engaging daily content for social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
  • Maintaining attractive and regularly updated window displays and in-store merchandising.
  • Assisting with website updates, product listings, and promotional content.
  • Collecting and maintaining customer information to support marketing initiatives.
  • Updating and maintaining the stock management system.
  • Keeping the store clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
  • Responding professionally to customer enquiries via email and telephone.
  • Supporting the wider team with general store operations and administration.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong retail or sales experience (Not Necessarily Guitar based).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Confidence using social media platforms for business promotion.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative during quieter periods.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An interest in guitars, music equipment, or the music industry would be highly advantageous.
